Winter break…gone so soon?
Though many are attending a minimester course at Towson —I’ll be there for the day for something else: 16 News.
Yes, it’s time to get back to the office and and finish some unfinished business from 2009.
I have 5 courses for the 2010 Spring semester:
19th Century French Literature
Journalism & New Media II
Media Law
Television Operations
Principles of Film & Media Production
Plus, I will continue my work with the campus television station as executive producer of 16 News, airing a show each Tuesday. I will also continue writing for the campus newspaper, The Towerlight. I also plan to have an entertainment radio show, where I’ll be partnered up with Louis Vieira…or as you may know him in my other blog as “Miata Kid.”
Yes, this will be a challenging and interesting semester.
Countdown to Monday, January 25, 2010…first day back to school.

Fall 2009 look back at the newscast that could
16 News, one of Towson University’s WMJF-TVs longest running programs, has come far this semester.
As first-time executive producer of the show, I think we did a great job turning the news format around.
Wilton Mckinley Glenn, the director of 16 News, and I really worked hard to change how things were being done for 16 News.
(Also a big thanks to: Matthew Markowitz, associate producer; Dorothy Morris, assistant producer; Michael Nannetti, president of WMJF-TV and Professor John Mackerron(Doc), general manager of WMJF-TV.)
We recruited many new members to the station who had the same enthusiasm and passion for journalism as we did.
Just think, the 2009 Spring semester had a newscast full of CNN national and International stories —nothing to which Towson students could relate.
There were no original stories, there were no relevant local stories.
Check out all of the stories my reporters and photogs have covered this semester. WMJF-TV 16 News is getting better already.
